Female artist ZIGG ZAGG filed for divorce following a two-year separation from her husband, gore-rapper Brotha Lynch Hung. “We part as friends, we have made a family together, and we will do what’s best for that family,” Zagg states. “We’ll continue to collaborate together; we both love what we do, and we gonna keep doing what we do.”
Who’s Zigg Zagg? First made. Siccmade. She’s the first lady of ill will, sickness and Sacramento rap, the Virus that’s spreading and known as Zigg Zagg. She ziggs her way into and out of lyrics that will make yah chill. She’s gone by many names as she entered this game, but now she’s just the Siccmade woman known as Zigg Zagg. Born Lebraya Renee Simms, she zagged her way into the world of rap as Shawna Mann, wife of Sacramento’s own horror-core rapper King, Brotha Lynch Hung, having met him at the age of sixteen. This lead to a fifteen-year relationship, a five month marriage, and two children, with a few years estranged . Hanging with one of the best rubs off, and Shawna, already having a solid capacity for poetry, found the transition to writing and performing rap an easy one.
She’d be the last one to say her life has been easy, for she’s had her share of some serious ups and downs. It’s not exactly easy being in a relationship with the King of gore-rap, but the two keep an amiable friendship going on, not just for business, but for their kids’ well-being. Of her working relationship with Lynch, Zigg Zagg says, “He was such a REAL critic to me, him and sicx, especially Lynch tho, because he believed I had potential, that it started to perfect me. He used to tell me to rewrite whole verses. It used to frustrate me. But a week later I'd be back at it. After I stopped being mad about it.”
Zigg Zagg learns quick and she learns well; she learned every aspect of the industry from Brotha Lynch Hung, and she has toured with Lynch over the years. She’s on just about every project Madesicc or Siccmade Muzicc has compiled, and it’s always a heartfelt performance by Ms. Zagg. From “Loaded,” “24 Deep,” “Season Of Da Siccness,” “On My Briefcase,” “Suicide Note,” “Loc to Da Brain,” and “The New Season,”with Lynch and Mc Eiht, to C-Bo and Lynch’s collaboration, “Blocc Movement,” her rapid-fire words and lyrics hit it every time. She’s worked with Snoop Dogg, Frank Nitty, X Raided, Loki, G Macc, Marvaless, Suga-T, Celly Cell, D Dubb, Pain, Cyco, Mc Breed, Lady of Rage, Celly Cell, 40 Gloc, Badazz, and more, and she’s doing more than surviving; she’s holding her own up in here.
Zigg Zagg’s work can be found on Amazon.dom, CDBaby, and in stores everywhere. If they don’t have it in stock, ask for it. Her albums include “Hell In August,” “Through The Eyes Of She,” “Against All Odds,” and a mixtape is in the works. Her newest album, “Aggravated,” will be released by Spring, 2009 by Hott One Recordz.
She’s been through hell, she’s survived against all odds, and she is most certainly aggravated. What do you expect, she’s the Madesicc Lady, first lady of ill will, sickness and Sacramento rap, the Virus known as ZIGG ZAGG.

Mann recorded and mixed the album in 1994 at Enharmonic Studio, Sacramento, California. The album is dedicated to Q-Ball (as stated in the album booklet), Mann's cousin who was murdered around the time of the album's creation. The song 'Liquor Sicc' touches on subjects of dealing with his death and retaliation. Personnel on the album include Brotha Lynch Hung, Mr. Doctor, Ron Foster, X-Raided, Zigg Zagg, Zoe, Sicx, Hyst, and Babe Reg.[1] Mann has stated that he produced, mixed and mastered the entire album himself, which to this day is the only album in which he has done this.[citation needed] The album was reprinted and re-released in 2005 as the original Black Market pressing is out of print. This re-release is distributed by IDN Distribution.
